You may have noticed that since the birth of breaksof10 we have often mentioned the Electrik Sheep in our content. Calm down animal rights activists there’s nothing sinister here rather a northern culture hub consisting of a streetwear store and gallery built upon the foundations of a graphic design agency; Reluctant Hero. Pure and simple Breaksof10 would not exist if it were not for this beacon of creative peoples. Therefore here is a long overdue introduction.

Situated on a cobbled back lane away from Newcastle’s hustle and bustle the store stands alone with brands such as 10DEEP, Crooks & Castles, WeSC, Something Else, Insight, Girls from Omsk and PAM, . The store also contains a wide range of insightful graphic design, art, and creative reference books. Never short of a few original and unique accessories and gadgets the store is extremely pleasing to the impulse buyer. All this mirrored with a gallery space that has showcased the likes of Eelus, Prefab77, Eine, and Faile to name but a few.

22 Pink lane is more than just a building it stands as a collective of creative peoples expressing themselves through street art, music, design, and fashion. Its these principles that breaksof10 have been molded upon.

What makes it that much more special is that the store is bucking the trend moving against the current of modern beige and bland conformity. It represents an ethos more accustomed to the likes of London, Paris, New York, and Tokyo. So if your ever in the north of England drop in. If not here are a few links to check out.

A special shout is more than deserved to Idene Roozabayani for bringing the store to life in his photographs.
