It’s always a pleasant surprise to unearth hidden layers and details when researching a creative entity. It’s these elements that often culminate towards a more intriguing journey and therefore a far greater story. I consider myself quite a layered individual; however I can only hope to develop as many creative layers and branches as one Dave Lee. Known to many as Joey Negro, as it’s this moniker for which he is most well known, to others under one of his numerous alternative aliases such as Jakatta, Sessomato, Doug Willis, Raven Maize, the Sunburst Band, and Z Factor. Record bag in hand he travels to the North East this month to share stage with Shindig within the internationally renowned; World Head Quarters. With such an extensive music armoury prepare for a sumptuous chug through driving disco and early house.
