Breaks Recommends: New Music We Believe In

I usually hate people telling me I’m lucky, but since this isn’t about my job, in this sense I am really lucky. I have a lot of friends who are all constantly on their grind making amazing music, just the other day my flatmate Jay got in at 9am from the studio after finishing the latest Decibel latest track, and it’s BEZERK. But it’s great, I DJ for fun, once a week, and do it for the love of music and an escape from my intense job, and what makes it better is getting to play all my friends music, its a great feeling, and I’m proud to watch them grow and improve with every tune. After the jump is a selection of the new music some of my friends are putting out, which may seem a little biased, but trust me, I would not be posting it here if I didn’t fully believe in the music and them. Enjoy.

Computer love snippet (128kbit) by DECiBEL

Firstly, I gotta feature Decibel. This is the aforementioned tune, finished just this week. The full thing is nuts, and takes a bezerk unexpected turn about 3 mins in, but you’ll have to wait until it’s released to hear that!

Absense by Danboadan

Dan sent me this today, and it’s really good!! Bit more chilled then Decibel, and a bit more sit back and chill sorta vibe, but I’m all over it!

*EDIT* Dan sent me this track off his new EP to embed… I wasn’t supposed to post the whole EP last night, whoops sorry Dan!

Dogkick [Preview] by Coin Operated Boy

Since graduating University and moving home ol’ Ed has been holed up in his mini studio working away, and in a short time has gone and produced some of his best work yet, all lined up for his fourth EP, which is yet untitled. Above is my favourite track from the new material, which however won’t be out until after the awesome ‘Trust Me’ EP, out 13th Sept.

My Tracks by WonkyNinja

Wonky Ninja is not only the latest DJ to provide us with an exclusive mix, but is also on the cusp of releasing a new EP, which consists of the fist three tracks up in the above player, you can clearly see the progression from when he first started producing, and from my perspective, he’s heading in the right direction. Backed by non other than Kissy Sell Out, he’s also one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, and is certainly one to watch!

Clouds

I was going to embed another sound cloud player, but like Dan Boadan, Clouds have disabled that function. Nevertheless, these boys from Perth are making astonishing progress since they started producing. They played in Newcastle at Zoo recently with Louis louis, myself and Decibel, and it was only their fifth gig! I saw them recently in Edinburgh and got to hear some of the new material and it’s absolutely bezerk, I can’t wait for them to release it! They have forthcoming releases on Turbo, and are going to be providing an exclusive mixtape for Breaks Of 10 very soon. Look out.
