The Count & Sinden ‘Mega Mega Mega’ Album review and giveaway

After months of waiting, teasers and hype, The Count & Sinden release their debut album ‘Mega Mega Mega’ today, almost two years after their last single ‘Beeper’ with Kid Sister. I was lucky enough to get the album last week, and give it a throughly good listen, and I’ve gotta say, it was worth the wait. It’s no secret that Herve is a fan of many musical genre’s, as many don’t realise he operates under various different guises, depending on what type of music he’s making. The album is a reflection of that, covering everything from UK bass, soca, tropical, pop and most in between. My personal favorite track, is the lead single, ‘After Dark’ with the Mystery Jets. I know it may seem an obvious choice, but it’s so just so damn catchy!

There’s also a host of special guests from people like Bashy, Rye Rye (the album has a re-edited version of ‘hardcore girls’) and dubstep lady of the moment Katy B. The album flows surprisingly nicely considering the range of genres included, and actually in a way reflects the current state of UK Dance music, effortlessly switching between genres and taking influence from things like garage, dubstep and tropical. As far as UK music goes, we live in the age of ‘Cross Genre’ and this album is a shining representation of that.

To celebrate the release, we’ve teamed up with Domino Records to give away two copies of the album! All you have to do it fill in the form after the jump and we’ll pick two winners at random. Good luck!
