Ill Blu are arguably London's most prolific UK Funky / House producers, and are widely regarded as being the most progressive production duo in the scene. The North London duo hold down a show on Rinse FM, and a residency at Rinse's insanely popular clubnight at Fabric; 'FWD'. Their recent 'Meltdown EP' on Glasgow's Numbers label proved to be an absolute smash, gaining them phenomenal respect in the UK scene, with the title track being used be a huge range of DJs to destroy dancefloors every night. After they just tore up our birthday party last week we're delighted to have them on board and a part of our mixtape series. The result is this, which is probably my favourite mixtapes so far.
The mix takes in a lot of their own material, many of it unreleased, and then sweeps through UK funky, bass and keeps a really London sound.
