It doesn’t get any simpler than this. If you know Breaksof10 then you know David Bilbrough. He’s been showcased on Breaksof10 since day one. Between shooting various projects and artists in Newcastle he has been busy away on this solo body of work that opens to the public this Thursday in the Old Gateshead Town Hall. David or ‘Billy’ as he’s known in our circles champions what i’ll sum up with as ‘old school analogue photography’. If you need to plug it in he isn’t too interested. This show, RECLAIM, demonstrates his skill set across a varied range of cameras and exposing techniques. I consider David to be more than a photographer, his eye is more akin to than of an artist, and I can’t wait to see this show. All details on the expand.
Whilst always shooting on film David also uses Polaroid film, often experimenting with the process, exposure, and even removing the picture to combine with something else. He manages to give additional depth and texture to what ordinarily is a flat smooth photograph.

From what I have gathered David loves double exposure and from what I have seen so far the show will feature this technique throughout. I don’t want to give away too much.
Opens at 6pm
