Jon Burgerman teams up yet again with UK design gurus Deadgood on another beautiful example of contemporary interior loveliness. We’re massive fans of both Burgerman and Deadgood here at Breaksof10 and I couldn’t wait to get some original insight on the project. I therefore put a few Q’s to the serial doodler about the ‘Doodle Rug’.

First a chair… now a rug! Whats the thinking?
“It’s great to make works that people will hang on their walls but it’s just as cool to have stuff people can walk all over or park their bottoms on.”
You seem to have a great relationship with the Deadgood team – did they approach you to collaborate again?
“They did – they’re top fellas and I like working with them and supporting what they’re doing. They’re also pretty pervasive.”
I then made the mistake of stating ‘It’s massive & appears to feature some of your most know characters along with some new ones’ Left myself open…
“Is that a question? but yes it is huge… the rug…!”
Any reflections on the project?
“fuzzy and warm…. the rug!”

We loved the first collaboration – glad to see these two continuing to work together. Find all you need to know here.
Jon is one of my favourite people to follow on twitter… just saying. Find him here.
