I think it’s fair to say that many of you will be aware of Macbeth as a footwear brand. For those that aren’t, it’s the passion project of Blink -182 guitarist Tom DeLonge, and for a long time, the logo and brand was synonymous with the hardcore / emo movement. You could also spot a vegan a mile off by their vegan Macbeth footwear.
The brand has come a long way since then however, and rather than ride of Tom’s success, it’s developed on its own, and has branched out a lot further than it’s previous ‘emo’ tag. The range is better than ever, even by just looking at the ‘Hensley’ shoe above (My favourite from the collection) it’s clear that they’ve progressed. The brand now incorporates more than just vegan plimsoles, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover the relative depth of the brand.
I picked out my personal favourite items from the AW11 line, and set out along the East London branch of the Regents Canal to shoot some photos of the range.
