If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know that last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the NIKE iD studio in Nike Town to have a go at customising a pair of trainers for myself. The shoe in question is the latest to be added to the iD line up, the Toki Premium. It differs from the regular Toki in that it has a leather upper and the swoosh is outlined with perforations, rather than being stitched on. It’s a bit like a chukka boot and looks really tidy – I’m looking forward to mine arriving!
I decided to go for a burgandy upper, with mint and peach stitch and eyelet details, then a brown outsole and ‘B10′ stitched on the heel.

Much deliberation over colour choices, if I hadn’t had Jimmy from NIKE iD helping me I would have ‘ummed’ and ‘aahed’ all day.

Mint lining and details? Yes.

My finished design was presented in a mini-shoebox.

Thanks Nike!
