For 20 years, between 1966 and 1986, Californian shoe brand K-Swiss only sold one model of shoe, the Classic. To celebrate over 40 years of the shoe, K-Swiss have decided to tell the story of the shoe, which has quietly and subtly evolved over time, through the medium of graphic design. K-Swiss gathered up some of the best designers in the world and commissioned 8 posters, of which 400 will be printed of each, creating a collectors item for hardcore K-Swiss fans and sneakerfreaks everywhere. The artists involved are Mario Lombardo, Value & Service, Cobbenhagen & Hendriksen, Non-Format, Grand People, Sulki & Min, Mark Owens / Life Of The Mind and Fabian Jenny and you can check out all the posters and an overview after the jump.

As soon as Austin (aka Wonky Ninja) sent me this mini mix I knew I had to post it, not only will it brighten up your day, it’ll also appeal to nearly everyone out there, covers most popular musical genres and takes in tracks from the last decades. In short, it’s genius, and you need to hear it. Austin is the latest rising Dj to come out of the bustling Manchester scene and along with being backed by Kissy Sell out, is tipped for big things this year. Check out the mini-mix after the jump!

Chris, a.k.a Six Foot Sick, so aptly names as he’s six foot six, is the second half of DJ duo Mugshots, of which we featured Louis Louis a fortnight ago. Chris, when playing solo takes a much more techno direction to Louis, and thus the reason for their separate residencies at Club Pony and Krooked in Sheffield. I have always had my reservations about techno, but this mix was not what I expected at all, and Chris is successfully blown away all my misconceptions by delivering a solid mix that flows so effortlessly. You can catch Chris at either of his Sheffield residencies at Club Pony and Krooked, and on the 3rd March in York. You can get the link by hitting the link, and click read more for links to various social networking sites.

For the first time on this side of the water Electrik Sheep showcases the latest collaboration between DC and SIXPACK next month. Calling on the work of Graphic artist PMKFA the collection sees two DC classics revamped to accompany two fresh tees and a SIX YEARS New Era. The Tees labeled Oneness and Marble & Ink are the only thing we haven’t been given a sneak of! I guess you’ll just have to tune in to see them. With a tag line that states the collection was inspired by the obvious and not so obvious elements of street culture this ethos is undoubtedly conveyed throughout.
The Store will be showcasing the new collection with a few beverages on the 5th March from 6.30pm before heading to terrace drinking spot Tokyo. Links and a sneak peak below.

New Balance is still one of the only British sports manufactures that actually produces its goods in the UK, with one of its factories being in Flimby in Cumbria. Now, many of you will remember the recent severe flooding of Cumbria and the North West of the UK, and the devastation it has caused. In order to help the region, 8 of New Balance’s staff are doing a sponsored 140 mile walk to raise money for the area. The shoe above is the 577, one of the shoes made in the Flimby factory, and one of the designs in New Balances’ heritage line, with this particular colourway going on sale in March. If you want to donate to the cause you can do so by clicking here, and check out the new 577 colours after the jump.
